Georgia Pre-K
Georgia Pre-K is a free, voluntary preschool program for four-year-olds who live in Georgia. It provides high-quality early childhood education to help children build skills in:
early reading and writing, math, social and emotional development, physical development & problem-solving/critical thinking.
A typical Georgia Pre-K day is structured but playful, designed to build kindergarten-readiness skills through hands-on learning.
🌅 Arrival & Morning Routine
Children arrive and hang up backpacks. Free-choice activities (puzzles, blocks, drawing),
Morning meeting: greeting, calendar, weather, songs, and review of the day.
📚 Learning Centers (Small Groups) Children rotate through centers such as: Literacy Center – letter recognition, phonics, read-alouds, Math Center – counting, sorting, patterns.
Science/Discovery – simple experiments, nature exploration. Writing Center – drawing and early writing practice. Dramatic Play – pretend kitchen, store, or community helpers.
Teachers work with small groups for targeted instruction.

🛝 Outdoor Play-Recess on the playground, Gross motor activities (running, climbing, ball play)
